MY FAVORITE OILS:

Stress Away:  I keep one in my purse at all times.  I pretty much use it as perfume.

Peace and Calming:  I rub this into Justin's back every night to encourage a good night's sleep.  I also rub Copaiba into any sore spots and then Roman Chamomile down his spine.

Abundance: Another oil I keep in my purse.  I love the smell and overall good feeling it gives me.

Lemon, Lavender, Peppermint:  We diffuse this daily in our house to keep allergies and sinuses in the clear.  Plus it makes your house smell like a spa!

Purification:  I love to diffuse this one as well.  It also works great for a sore throat (we rub it directly on our throats).  It smells really good!

Thieves, Oregano:  We put this on the bottom of our feet during sickness, when we start to feel sick or are around others who are sick.  I figure it can't hurt!  We also gargle thieves in water for sore throats.  I have also applied Thieves directly to a cold sore (it burns like crazy but that makes me feel like it is working) and it dried it up pretty quick.

Geranium:  I don't care for the smell that much because it is so flowery, but it makes me feel SO GOOD.  I usually diffuse it with Abundance and Lime or Purification and Lime.  I gives me an overall happy feeling.

R.C.: This one is great for congestion or coughing.  I rub one or two drops on my chest.

DiGize:  Stomach discomfort or nausea.  Totally works!  I rub one or two drops in a circle around my belly button.

DIFFUSING:

We have our diffuser going pretty much daily with some sort of blend.  Lemon, Lavender and Peppermint is our go to blend.

During sickness, Eucalyptus is added to Lemon, Lavender and Peppermint.  Or I also like Purification and R.C.

Some once told me, when coming up with new blends, think floral-spice-citrus.  It is such a great little formula when I can't think of a good blend.  It's also a good formula when coming up with creams or bath salts.

APPLYING DIRECTLY TO SKIN:

I don't seem to have a problem with any oils except Lemon.  I apply one or two drops right to my skin without any issues (less is more when I comes to essential oils!).  Lemon breaks me out pretty quick so I don't use any citrus oils on my skin.  It's always a good idea to use a carrier oil when applying oils to your skin and start with a super small area.  I wouldn't cover your entire back with an oil you aren't familiar with, for example!

DISCLAIMER:

Of course, I have to add this:

The above information is my personal opinion.  Everyone will have different experiences with essential oils and you should always consult with your doctor if you have any questions.
