Well shoot. This week really got away from me. With the shortened day light hours and our client’s getting an earlier pick up time, my routine got a little wonky this week.
We set our intention to clean up our diets after last week’s birthday fun.
What I ate
The day always starts with oats and eggs.
Tuesday, after the gym,
we needed to make a grocery store run.
In an effort not to shop hungry, we decided to eat our post-workout meal there before we shopped. (Justin’s expression pretty much reflects how we both feel about grocery shopping.)
Baked potato, chili, spinach, cheese.
For dinner, I ate cabbage casserole.
Wednesday, after the gym,
my sister, Autumn, came over and we did food prep for about 2 hours. I totally forgot to take ANY pictures!
- baked chicken
- tilapia cooked on a cast iron skillet with Mrs. Dash Fiesta lime seasoning
- stir fry pepper and onions
- roasted broccoli
- cilantro lime rice
- pico de gallo
So my meals for the rest of the day were derived from those foods.
Cilantro lime rice with peppers and onion, chicken, avocado, pico de gallo, plain greek yogurt.
Chicken with cilantro lime rice, roasted broccoli and soy sauce
were also variations of those foods! And boy did we fight some cravings. At various times, we had to talk each other out of hopping in the car and going to buy some crappy food.
Whew. We keep reminding each other, we just have to get past this detox week or two and then we will feel better.
So glad we are in this together!
And by “in this”……I mean, we booked a trip to Cancun for February and have 16 weeks to get ourselves together!
That’s a picture from 2012 when we went to Cozumel, but you get the idea.
In the gym this week (so far)
We have a full day planned today so I better get going!
