Yesterday morning started with lighting the candle our friends gave us in our Welcome Basket when we visited them in Indiana. The house smelled so good all day!
Justin started doing morning stretches months ago and I have decided to join in on the fun. So before we really get moving with our day, we get our feet up the wall.
I used to do this when I ran long distance to help with circulation and recovery. Then I discovered compression pants and calf sleeves and got out of the habit.
There are really good benefits to doing this pose. Per the Yoga Journal, the basic benefits are:
- Relieves tired or cramped feet.
- Gently stretches the back legs, front torso, and the back of the neck
- Relieves mild back pain
- Calms the mind

After getting our work done for the morning, Justin and I headed to the gym.
We went to separate gyms yesterday because I had a massage appointment and needed to be closer to home. (Justin doesn’t belong to that gym and he prefers our usual Gold’s anyway!)
Justin’s birthday week off is next week, so I made his a little extra special!
And by extra special, I mean I wrote on his sandwich bag!
My massage was WOOOOONDERFUL!
I came home and finished up a girl baby blanket and continued to work on a boy blanket. I tell you what friends and family are having babies like crazy around here!
I love this checker board pattern I am doing but it sure takes a long time! Good Grief!
I didn’t eat much for dinner. I ate some Salad, 1/2 a Quest bar and some nuts. I was snacky but not really hungry and neither of us felt like cooking for ourselves.
We ended our day tucked in at home watching Big Brother. We were both asleep by 9:30pm!
