I have always liked routines, but you already know that about me.
I am an “all or nothing” type person, but you already know that as well.
I get into phases with food. I can be very happy eating the same thing day after day. Up until I met Justin, if I went to a restaurant I ordered a taco salad, if that was not an option then chicken fingers.
That is why comp prep feels so good.
I get myself into a comfy little routine and I hunker down, snuggle in and stay there until May.
I am snuggled in.
The Northland group got together and ran a couple of trails and a BIG hill yesterday morning.
I pretty much ate the same five meals in the past several days.
Meal #1: Pancakes (oats and egg whites)
Meal #2: Egg, egg whites, grapefruit
Meal #3: Ground turkey, quinoa, stir fry veggies
Meal #4 & #5: Ground turkey and brussel sprouts with turkey bacon
I am switching it up this week and cooked up some chicken, brussel sprouts and green beans. I am also prepping some shrimp and salmon. It’s going to be a good week!
The two top dishes with no veggies are going to be eaten with kale chips. Those are ONLY good fresh out of the oven, though!
