The Land of Lazy

Our house smells like vinegar.

And not because I’m cleaning it.

When I last posted, our coffee maker was on strike due to cleanliness.  That was Wednesday. Today is Sunday.

Let me bring you up to date.

So, I picked up coffee from Caribou Coffee on Wednesday, on my way home from Pilates. No big deal. I was out. It’s in the same parking lot.  The plan was to hit the grocery store later in the day, pick up distilled vinegar and get the Keurig running again.

Thursday morning, I find myself driving to Caribou Coffee again.  There are two places closer than Caribou to get coffee (one of them being the grocery store where vinegar can be purchased), BUT Caribou has a drive thru, and I don’t have to put on a bra or brush my teeth to go through a drive-thru.

Friday morning…Caribou coffee.

Saturday morning…I had cramps too bad to get out of bed, which left Justin to fend for himself for coffee.  Instead of Caribou drive thru, he breaks open a K-cup, dumps the contents into a coffee cup, boils water, pours that into aforementioned coffee up, then pours that through a drainer that is lined with a paper towel into a clean coffee cup. WaLa! Coffee!

Oh man.

That brings us to this morning.  I am standing in the kitchen staring at the Keurig, wishing it would just clean itself.  We have a whole box of new K cups.

I just want a Mudslide.

I sigh in defeat and realize I am going to have to leave the house at 6am, on a Sunday, and get coffee.  I am not sure if the Caribou drive thru is open and they are not answering the phone to provide me with the information (I also checked their website), so I decide I am going to have to go to Starbucks, where I have to actually get out of the car.

On my way, I realize that this is ridiculous, the grocery store is practically across the street and there is a Caribou Coffee inside the grocery store.  Two birds, one stone. (I hate that saying…who wants to kill birds?!)

The ending to the story….we finally have vinegar and coffee!  The Keurig has been descaled, now we just have to wait 4 hours, run clean water through it and, fingers crossed, I will be enjoying a Mudslide by Noon.

In other news, I got my hair cut!
