I had the one of the best workouts with Diana yesterday! She put me in a weighted vest then strapped the cable machine (with about 20 or 30 lbs loaded on each cable) to each side of it and I did my entire workout against resistance. Holy core! It was hamstrings and glutes day so she had me doing lunges, deep squats, step ups….you get the idea but the whole time I had to keep my core super tight to keep myself balanced or the cables would pull be back. When she took that vest off of me, I was soaked from head to toe! It was super hard, but felt so GREAT!
- Morning cardio
- 5 minute warmup on elliptical (I don’t know why I even bothered)
- 55 minutes on treadmill. Ran 5 miles and alternated the incline between flat and 10%.
- Trained hamstrings and glutes with Diana
- Evening Cardio
- 45 minutes on elliptical
I spent a lot of time day dreaming about what I will eat after the competition. Justin and I discussed it numerous times throughout the day like it was a serious life decision we were making! I love that he indulges me and lets me talk it all out! I’m sure he really wanted to talk about nachos and chocolate all day!
I don’t think I want to go to a restaurant because it will be so late and I’m pretty sure I will have an upset stomach after I eat. I have a gluten issue and a dairy issue so no matter what I eat it’s going to hurt (and probably come right back out – sorry)!
I am planning on NACHOS! I want a big fat plate of loaded nachos (beef, beans, liquid cheese, sour cream, the WORKS!)! They are always better at home anyway, I can really pile on the toppings! More than a meal, I want lots of chocolate. I am already planning what treats I will buy and what treats I will ask others to make! (hint, hint family that reads this blog!)
